Overview

Match Maker provides a dating app where people create dating profiles and may invite trusted friends or family to help review potential matches. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

We collect account information such as your name, email address, phone number, login credentials, profile details, preferences, photos, photo-verification submissions, swipe activity, matches, messages, notification preferences and push tokens, reports, support requests, subscription status, sponsored-card interactions, device information, usage data, and crash or error diagnostics. Crash and error diagnostics are configured not to intentionally collect dating profile text, photos, message content, SMS codes, or account secrets. We also collect records showing that you accepted our terms, privacy policy, and account verification steps.

How We Use Information

We use information to create and secure accounts, verify identity and phone numbers, operate dating and matcher features, show profiles under product rules, deliver notifications, operate premium features, measure sponsored placements, provide support, investigate reports, diagnose app crashes and errors, prevent abuse, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations.

SMS Verification

Match Maker uses SMS only for account authentication, login, and phone-number verification. When you request a verification code, we use your mobile number to send a one-time code for that request. Message frequency varies based on how often you request codes. Message and data rates may apply.

You consent to SMS verification only when you enter your mobile number on the Match Maker phone verification screen and tap Continue to request a one-time code. SMS consent is not bundled with marketing messages.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information with service providers only as needed to operate and secure the Match Maker service, such as authentication, hosting, messaging delivery, analytics, safety, and support providers.

Profile, Matcher, and Message Data

Dating profile information is shown only where product rules allow it. Matcher access is limited to profiles they are connected to help. Messages are visible to the matched dating-profile owners and may be reviewed by moderation or safety systems when reports, legal obligations, or abuse-prevention needs require it.

Payments, Premium Features, and Sponsored Cards

Premium features may be included for all accounts during launch. If paid premium access is added, we may receive subscription status, plan, customer identifiers, expiration dates, and payment event metadata from payment or app-store providers. We use this information to grant, restore, expire, and support paid premium access. Sponsored cards may appear in discovery, and we may record impressions, skips, advances, and clicks to operate and measure those placements.

How We Share Information

We share information with vendors and service providers who help us run Match Maker, with other users as needed for app features you use, with authorities when legally required, and with safety or security partners when needed to protect users and the service. We do not use SMS consent or phone verification data for third-party marketing.

Your Choices

You can update profile information, notification preferences, and deletion requests in the app. You can stop using SMS verification by not requesting additional codes and can request support through the contact page. If you receive an SMS verification message in error, reply STOP to stop SMS messages or contact us.

Deletion

Users can request account deletion in the app or through the account and data deletion page. We may keep limited records when needed for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, moderation, payment records, or legitimate business purposes.
